Beeing a leader or a coworker is a constant cooperation / balancing act with others
In my experience one of the more important areas to address is the balance between feeling and logic,
in my vocabulary Heart and Mind
Heart and Mind Management provides Assessment, Coaching, Training, Workshops supporting in management and organisation effectiveness

I have recorded spoken presentations on the following subjects and launched them, and also updated the homepage

Waterfall Project 2025-05-05
The basic thinking around a Waterfall project is to have a checklist of things needed to be handled before each gate (step in the process).
The steering committee controles that the checklist is performed and approves deviations to the checklist if needed.
Development is performed simultaneously to all functions and parts of the project.
The activities in the checklist can be very detailed meaning that this way of steering is quite detailed
A common routine to follow means that everyone in the company can have a common picture of the progress of a project.
There are a couple of advantages that I like to mention
- Everyone in the company knows how far the project has progressed
(What checkpoint is passed and when the next one will be passed)
- Updates from previous projects can be used in all new projects
To pass a predefined checkpoint (decision between the Project and the Steering group/Sponsor)
- Everything is fulfilled up to the checkpoint – if not fulfilled there needs to
be a timeplan on how the Project can catch up (does the project need extra resources or help in any other way from the steering group?
- What needs to be fullfilled up to the next checkpoint? (based on the
process description and the delayed activities from this checkpoint).
The Waterfall model is an ideal model so when you run a project acording to this model, it will never work without exceptions and deviations.
So the challenges for the project leader is to manage the risks and keep them under control.

Iterative Development 2025-05-12
Functionality or components are gradually developed through several loops/cycles. Each loop or cycle results in a more complete version of the product, gradually converging to the final product. This approach emphasises adaptability and the early delivery of a working product.
- The project leader prioritises what are the most important requirements
, functionalities or components to develop first, concentrate on them
and let the rest be.
- Evaluate the working product, service, education, production… and
debug (the total functionality of the to be product is not there yet but it
works)
- Start a new iteration (development loop) by the project leader
prioritising most important requirements, functionality or parts to
develop
- This way of development is used a lot in the software industry.
- After a number of iterations, the product has the full functionality and
meets all the requirements and you can start to produce.

AGILE Development 2025-05-15
AGILE Development
A way to work where you strive to get feedback very quickly, from a working product that have a limited number of working functions.
Letting the feedback lead you in your development.
When developing Software this method is often used (with software there are possibilities to achieve a working software having limited functions and then gradually work towards a fully functional Software)
AGILE is a bottoms up method where the coworkers make the decisions
Working with AGILE it is important to:
- Define values
- Set and follow roles and stick to them in the long term
Working with Agile you most of the time have a
1. Product Owner (PO)
- POs interest is when and what something is done - not How
- The PO has total responsibility for the product, its development, its
life cycle and its value creating.
2. Sprint teams
- Working with agile you divide the working group into smaller
teams working in so called sprints, short tasks that can be finished
in a couple of weeks time producing a tangible result which is
working and can be tested (fail or success).

Diversified Development 2025-05-26
- Instead of running projects, the trend in the industry is to use the
Diversified Development
- If the evaluation is done efficiently you can start producing after one
loop, of course depending on your production.
- This way to work everyday where no project leader is appointed, is a
very efficient and fast way of working.
Advantages
- Speed
- Capital is not tied up longer then necessary
- Less overhead
- Coworker are trusted and feel empowered
Challenges
- Evaluate with high speed (digital)
- Increased responsibility for coworkers (engagement)
- Rapid resource allocation (on demand and need of immediate
allocation)
- How shall quality be worked into the Diversified development and
how do you take care of experience from earlier performed
development

Service / Fault tree 2025-05-12
In this document I describe how companies focusing on Service / Troubleshooting tend to work. I also think that first line doctors, dentists and repair workshops typically work like this.
1. Discuss with the customer, patient, user or driver - do they
experience problems that they can describe?
2. Perform preventive maintenance based on age, time since last
service, usage time or driving distance
3. Perform an inspection according to a standard rutine (predesigned) to
discover faults (Inspection of the current state)
4. Complimentary tests are performed (e.g patient: temperature, blood
pressure and x-ray test or in computer aided equipment: faultcode
readings). Tests easy to perform and worth the money.
5. Perform an analysis and try to find the problem (Fault tree analysis)
using input from the patient/customer and your inspection.

Planned are 4 workshops during June 2025
No cost for participating
No limit in numbers attending the meetings
